The Baltimore Ravens veteran cornerback was carted off Friday during practice with no video available for analysis. We always say judge the injury not the reaction meaning a player being carted off does not always signify a catastrophic event . There are other reasons, especially in preseason/training camp, where training rooms might be further away from practice field. As it turns out, Smith suffered a standard inversion ankle sprain according to reports which is great news for the Ravens. Given how early it is in the preseason, Smith should have plenty of time to return before meaningful games and could play in a preseason game. Regardless, the career Raven should be ready for Week 1.
