J.J. Watt Ruled Out With Shoulder Injury Ahead of Thursday Night Game Against Packers

J.J. Watt, the Cardinals star pass rusher, has been ruled out ahead of the Thursday night matchup with the Packers. Watt did not practice this week after apparently injuring his shoulder in the 31-5 win over his former team, the Houston Texans. We reviewed video of the game, but did not see when he was injured. We are hopeful it is not a long term issue and the team is choosing to rest him given the quick turnaround.

Watt has 16 combined tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in seven games this year. He played all 16 games last season. Second-year defensive end Michael Dogbe will fill in for Watt this Thursday.
