Jody Fortson, the Chiefs fourth-string tight end, left the game just after halftime with an Achilles injury. By video, we believe Fortson ruptured his right Achilles when he took a backstep to start his route. He went down quick and was carted off the field. His season is more than likely over.
Update
Fortson was quickly ruled out with an Achilles injury, meaning his season is likely done. After the game, head coach Andy Reid confirmed that Fortson tore his Achilles.
