Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow injured his right knee late in the win over the Chiefs.
By video, he had his right foot stepped on and appeared to twist his knee. The 25-year-old wears a brace on his left knee after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in Week 11 last season.
Burrow exited the game and did not return, but the Bengals only ran one more offensive snap.
ProFootballDoc, Dr. David Chao, said he is not concerned about a serious injury to Burrow's right knee.
After the game, head coach Zac Taylor said Burrow had his knee "twisted up," but he could have stayed in if needed.
Burrow might have a knee sprain, but he will need a week, at most, to recover from that, Chao said.
The Bengals clinched the AFC North with the win over the Chiefs and likely would have rested Burrow for the game already.
Burrow will get an MRI on the knee, but Chao said he doesn't expect that to reveal any structural damage.
He threw for 446 yards and four touchdowns in the win over the Chiefs, one week after throwing for 525 yards against the Ravens.
Expect backup Brandon Allen to get the start next week against the Browns.
