The Cleveland Browns will likely have a Super Bowl MVP under center this Sunday against the Rams as Joe Flacco is in line to make his first start since the final game of the 2022-23 season.
With Dorian Thompson-Robinson in concussion protocol and absent from practice for a second straight day, the Browns are likely to opt for the veteran presence of Flacco rather than a rookie on limited practice reps.
Flacco’s last start came with the Jets on Jan. 8, when he went 18 for 33 for 149 yards.
This time, he gets a matchup against Los Angeles and a defensive line featuring Aaron Donald.
In better news he’s likely to have No. 1 wideout Amari Cooper active. Cooper practiced on Thursday despite injured ribs and told reporters he plans to play this week.
As of Thursday afternoon, the Rams were favored by 3.5 points at home and the over/under was 39.5.
