The Broncos starting quarterback was seen having his neck adjusted and worked on while sitting on the bench during Sunday's game. Now comes word of a herniated disc in his neck and he has already been ruled out of the Broncos week 9 contest. It is possible to play through a cervical herniated disc as long as it is not pressing on the nerves. However, this early rule out seems ominous for Flacco and the Broncos. We will see how this plays out but it would not surprise me if he ends up undergoing a cervical discectomy and fusion surgery in the coming weeks. Drew Lock is still recovering from his thumb injury for the preseason that landed him on injured reserve to start the year. Brandon Allen will be the Broncos starter going into Week 9.
