The 49ers left tackle is as tough as they come. He limped off the field Sunday with a broken fibula. By video, his ankle is ok. It was a friendly fire leg whip from running back Raheem Mostert who clipped him as he ran past the lineman. This is likely a "nightstick" type isolated fibula fracture that will not need surgery. His initial timeline to return is six to eight weeks, but I would expect it to be closer to six weeks. His team should have him back near the midpoint of this season.
