Jonah Williams Injury: Cincinnati Left Tackle Unlikely to Play vs Saints

Fourth-year left tackle Jonah Williams didn't practice on Wednesday and revealed that he suffered a dislocated knee cap on Sunday night.

Williams has an SIC score of 68 and will more-than-likely be inactive for the Bengals' bounce-back game against the Saints, according to the Pro Football Docs.

The 312-pound is  dealing with significant swelling in his knee that will limit his effectiveness against a strong Saints' defensive line.

Williams described his kneecap briefly “slipping to the side” of his leg and coming back after planting awkwardly, which is consistent with a patella subluxation.

He returned to the game in the second half with a knee brace.

Williams, whose listed backup is 24-year-old D'Ante Smith, is the only remaining starter from the 2021 team that made the Super Bowl.

Cordell Volsen, Ted Karras, Alex Cappa, and La'el Collins were acquired this offseason and make up the rest of the line that PFF has ranked No. 26 in the NFL through five games.
