Jonathan Taylor was the NFL’s leading rusher last season with 1,811 yards and 18 touchdowns. This year hasn’t been as exciting, totaling 328 yards and one touchdown while averaging a career-low 4.0 YPC.
Taylor has missed the Colts' last two games with an ankle injury, in which Indianapolis went undefeated.
Taylor should be ready to play without limitations, according to our Pro Football Docs. He should resume his full snap count for the Colts.
He suffered an ankle injury in the team's last game against the Titans. He ran the ball 20 times for a season-low 42 yards and 2.1 YPC. Taylor was visibly hobbled against his divisional foe.
This week, Taylor participated in practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, a great indication he will be ready on Sunday. He said he didn't play last week because “you just know your body.” He didn't feel like he had a good week of practice.
Backup RB Nyheim Hines is also scheduled to play after clearing concussion protocol. Hines and Taylor are among the best running back tandems in the league because they complement each other's weaknesses.
Hines is an elite third-down RB, and Taylor is your prototypical workhorse RB. So, look for a massive smile on Matt Ryan's face when he sees both his running backs in the huddle.
Indianapolis is a 2.5 underdog on the road against the Titans and the over/under is 41.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
