Buffalo Bills fans can breathe a sigh of relief after quarterback Josh Allen experienced a minor injury scare during the fourth quarter of Week 1. Allen's left hand, his non-throwing hand, was inadvertently smashed by his right elbow, causing a brief sideline visit for treatment.
Allen was seen getting his left hand taped on the sidelines following the incident. Reports suggest he will likely undergo X-rays to rule out any major injury. By video, we expect only a mild contusion (bruise) on his non-throwing hand.
The injury to Allen's left hand is not expected to have any long-term impact, and there is no concern about him missing time or playing at less than full effectiveness. Given that the injury is to his non-throwing hand, his ability to perform in Week 2 should remain unaffected.
Buffalo is counting on Josh Allen to continue leading their offense, and this minor injury won’t slow him down. Allen’s toughness has been well-documented, and barring any unexpected developments, he is expected to be fully ready to play in Week 2 without limitations.
