The Raiders rookie running back was limited in practice this week with a hip issue, which is suspected to be a groin strain. Now comes a self-report on social media in which Jacobs says he's been "very sick" and lost 10 pounds. Certainly a 10 pound muscle weight loss would be incredibly concerning, however this weight loss is likely fluid related in terms of dehydration from his illness. Fortunately, this amount of weight loss can be recouped with medical treatment and intravenous hydration. Certainly any illness is a concern, but with three days to go before the game I think the weight-loss issue and the illness issue is less of a concern than the groin issue. We will monitor his status going forward. Continue to check the subscriber updates.
