With the first injury report of the week, Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (knee) returned to limited practice but WR Juju Smith-Schuster (ribs) did not practice. Both these designations were as expected based on lack of video of significant injury. Johnson is likely suffering from an aggravation of a Week 1 knee contusion. If he continues to progress, Johnson is on track to play Week 4 but we will continue to monitor. Smith-Schuster DNP today is as expected for a rib injury. It would not be surprising to be DNP or LP the whole week, and potentially return to play with an injection/rib block although that has yet to be determined. However, the DNP on the first day of the week does not dissuade us from a Week 4 return as the Steelers will need him to keep up with a vaunted Packers offense.
