During the 2019 season, Edelman has dealt with both rib and shoulder injuries but hasn't missed a game. He has been limited in practice for majority of the year and a new knee injury has come up that will likely hamper him heading into the playoffs. Last Sunday he cleared didn't look himself and now being diagnosed with patella tendonitis. This is not a dangerous injury but could linger. By video, Edelman was clearly bothered by his left knee and favored the knee. Even though he is getting treatments there is no magic cure and due to the lack of blood flow in the patella tendon recovery is prolonged. Given Edelman's history he will continue to play but I expect the issue to bother him for the rest of the season and playoffs.
