Justin Fields Dealing With Right Ankle Injury, "Limited" in Estimated Practice Report

Justin Fields, the Bears rookie quarterback, is dealing with a right ankle injury he suffered in the loss Monday night to the Vikings.

Head coach Matt Nagy told reporters Wednesday that Fields is listed as "limited" in the Bears estimated practice report.

By video, Fields suffered a mild inversion ankle injury when he was sacked on a designed screen pass just before halftime.

He didn't miss a snap and finished the game 26 of 39 passing for 285 yards and a touchdown, plus seven rushes for 35 yards. We have no doubt he will play this Sunday against the Seahawks.

Backup quarterback Andy Dalton is on the COVID reserve list. If he doesn't return a negative test, he is still eligible to come off the list Saturday.

However, the Bears play in Seattle this week and may have to arrange alternate transportation for him to be at the game.

Nick Foles is the third-string option at quarterback for Chicago, but hasn't started a game since Week 10 last season.
