Most teams start out healthy to begin a season but the Chiefs are entering Week 1 with several issues. Tight end Travis Kelce popped up on the first injury report of the year as limited with a knee issue and there is no further information at time of post. The Chiefs also have issues on the interior of their offensive line with high-priced guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif opting out and new free agent Kelechi Osemele battling recent neck stiffness. On the defensive side, free safety Juan Thornhill is listed as a full participant in practice. While he is active, it is unlikely that he is anywhere near 100% coming off his ACL tear towards the end of last season.
