The flu has run through several teams this postseason including the Minnesota Vikings and last week, the Green Bay Packers. Now the Chiefs are afflicted with LeSean McCoy and Matt Moore missing practice due to an illness. They have missed the last two days of practice. Moore is the backup, hopefully he won't even see the field. The big deal is that they have an illness, which is likely the flu and typically is contagious. The DNP designation is less that they couldn't participate and more wanting them out of the building to not infect the rest of the team. In close quarters, illness can travel through the team rather quickly. The key for the Chiefs is to contain the flu bug to McCoy and Moore only. Midweek illnesses can be dealt with, but the biggest fear is to develop the illness the eve of the game and miss time like Bryan Bulaga did for the Packers last Sunday.
