Timberwolves star big man Karl-Anthony Towns will miss tonight's clash with the Nets with a tailbone contusion, the team announced. Towns suffered the injury on a hard fall directly on his lower back in the 4th quarter of Minnesota's loss to the Wizards on Wednesday night. Head coach Chris Finch said before the game that the 26-year-old center would go through pregame warmups to see if he was ready to play, according to The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski, but he clearly wasn't feeling up for it. Third-year center Naz Reid will start in his place. Towns' next chance to suit up will be on Monday, when Minnesota faces the Hawks.
