Kawhi Leonard Availability in Question For Remaining Games

Updated 5/2

Kawhi Leonard’s availability for the remaining games versus the Mavericks is now in question. Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard told reporters after Game 3 that his surgically repaired knee has not responded the way he had hoped after receiving a PRP injection in early April.

Leonard was not 100% in Game 3 but managed to play 25 minutes scoring only 9 points in the Clippers loss.

Post-game Leonard said, "First game didn't respond the way we wanted it to. And tonight it was either play limited minutes or not play. And I wanted to be on the floor to help the team, and that's what the results are. Frustrating that it happened to me this late in the season, but we're going to keep going. We're going to get it right."

The Pro Basketball Doc's were not surprised Leonard sat for Games 4 and 5. Before the series our panel of Pro Basketball Docs maintained Leonard would not be 100% and would possibly miss games to start the series. Leonard also missed Game 1 of the series.
