Chicago Bears star pass rusher Khalil Mack has been dealing with a foot injury since Week 4 and will reportedly miss the game against San Francisco this Sunday. Mack has played every game this season and recorded at least one sack Weeks 2 through 6. He injured his foot Week 3, but returned to the game and finished. Since then, he has missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday for four consecutive weeks, presumably to rest the foot before playing through the injury each Sunday.
We are unsure exactly what type of foot issue Mack is dealing with, but resting it will undoubtedly improve things in the short term. An IR stint might be the wiser choice depending on the severity of the injury, but the 3-4 Bears likely don't want to be without the star pass rusher that long. The Bears play the Steelers Week 9, then play the Ravens after their Week 10 bye.
