Khris Middleton Leaves Bucks Loss After Suffering Sprained MCL

All-star small forward Krhis Middle left the Bucks' loss to the Bulls on Wednesday night after suffering an apparent left knee injury mid-way through the fourth quarter.

The Bucks ruled him out with left knee soreness and head coach Mike Budenholzer said after the game he suffered a sprained left MCL. He will get an MRI tomorrow ahead of Game 3 in Chicago on Friday.

The injury doesn't appear to be serious, our team of ProBasketballDocs say, and he was likely pulled out of precaution as the Bucks begin a long title defense.

The Docs expect Middleton to suit up for Game 3 this Friday when Milwaukee will try to take back control of the series in Chicago.

Middleton slipped while attempting a spin move and his left knee appeared to twist while he went to the ground. The 30-year-old stayed in the contest initially but was not moving well and came out with 6:49 left and went straight to the locker room.

Before the injury, Middleton – who missed three games after hyperextending his left knee in mid-December – scored 18 points with eight rebounds.

The Bucks lost the contest, 114-110, with all but eight of their 110 points coming from the starting five.

Bobby Portis was ruled out of the game after suffering an eye contusion from an elbow to the face in the first half.
