Klay Thompson was a surprise inclusion on the Warriors' injury report, listed probable ahead of Tuesday's Game 2 in Memphis.
Thompson, who is 38 games back from major surgeries on both legs, is suffering from right knee soreness today after scoring 15 points in 30 minutes on Sunday.
Luckily the soreness is in his right knee, which is not the surgically-repaired joint.
Based on video shared by NBC Sports Bay Area's Dalton Johnson, Thompson appeared to take a shot to his right knee when Dillon Brooks dove into his legs going after a loose ball with 42.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
The 32-year-old was able to hold onto the ball long enough to force a jump ball, which the Warriors won and turned into a game-winning three from Thompson.
He missed two free throws later that could have pushed the lead to three points, but rebounded with clutch help defense that affected Ja Morant's potential game-winning shot attempt enough to seal the win.
The ProBasketballDocs said entering the playoffs that Thompson will continue to regain form as he gets further into the playoffs and acclimates to the intensity and day-to-day rigors of the NBA schedule once again.
Hopefully the knee soreness doesn't slow that re-acclimation, but it will be something to watch.
