An MRI confirmed our fears regarding Alexander’s season being over. Reports are that he tore his pec and will need surgery. This injury is similar to the one J.J. Watt suffered and both have a realistic chance to return for next season. In fact, Alexander will be ready for the offseason program. If his 8-0 49ers reach the Super Bowl in February, Alexander will be unlikely to play.
