The season is over for Washington quarterback Kyle Allen. He managed to tarp his foot and was subsequently leg whipped in the knee. Allen suffered a gruesome ankle fracture dislocation that will need surgery. Alex Smith is now the team’s starter. No question that Smith is the “Comeback Player of the Year,” but he also no longer has the same mobility he once had, due to residual effects of the horrific infection from his broken leg two years ago. We will see if Dwayne Haskins gets another shot or if he’s still in the dog house in Washington.
