The news on the 49ers fullback depends on your perspective. The good news is that there was no major ligament tear or season ending injury. The bad news is that the injury is in fact an MCL sprain and he is said to miss between four to six weeks before a return. Based on video analysis and how the foot wasn't completely planted, I'm hopeful that his return is closer to the four week side of the timeline or maybe even sooner. The 49ers run attack that dominated on Monday night football will be missing a key piece for a few weeks.
