Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma left in the second quarter Saturday night against the Nets after suffering a left ankle injury.
By video, Kuzma suffered an inversion left ankle sprain when he stepped on the foot of a Nets defender while driving to the basket, according to the Pro Basketball Docs.
The former Laker exited the game and was ruled out for the rest of the night.
Depending on swelling, he could return as early as Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets, according to the Pro Basketball Docs.
Kyle Kuzma Injury History
Kuzma has missed 9 games with left ankle sprains in his NBA career, with all of the missed games coming in 2019.
He missed the first four games of the 2019 season with an ankle injury lingering from the offseason and missed five games after suffering a left ankle injury on Dec. 8, 2019.
Kuzma missed the final 13 games of the 2021-22 regular season with a right knee injury he suffered March 18.
The Wizards went 6-10 without Kuzma last season.
