The Heat announced that all-star point guard Kyle Lowry will miss Monday's series-opening contest against the 76ers.
The 36-year-old suffered a left hamstring strain late in the third quarter of Miami's win over the Hawks on April 22.
Despite his insistence that he would play in Game 4, Lowry's strain was significant enough to hold him out through the series and into round two 10 days later.
Gabe Vincent is likely to start once again in his absence. He's averaging 10 points and four assists on 41.2% shooting in the last two games/
Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, P.J. Tucker, Max Strus, Caleb Martin, and Markieff Morris are all questionable. Butler missed Miami's clinching win with right knee inflammation, thrusting Strus into the starting lineup.
Joel Embiid will miss at least the first two games in the series with a right orbital fracture and concussion, giving the Heat a chance to take a leg up before he gets back.
This continues the trend from the regular season matchups between these teams, in which neither team was fully healthy. Miami and Philadelphia split the final two regular season games after the 76ers acquired James Harden.
