Coming off their biggest comeback win since 2002, the Lakers’ road trip continues in Memphis, where they take on the 36-23 Grizzlies.
Memphis currently sits in the No. 2 spot and are 5-5 in the their last 10, while the Lakers are a half-game out of the 10 spot and are on a three-game win streak.
Life without LeBron James begins for the new look Lakers, who are 5-9 without the King this season.
D’Angelo Russell will also miss the contest after suffering a right ankle inversion sprain in Thursday’s win over the Warriors.
Anthony Davis is listed as probable while still battling his right foot stress injury and has played through effectively since returning in late January.
Davis is averaging 22.3 points, 13 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 blocks in 12 games since returning.
With Los Angeles absent Lebron’s nearly 30 points per game, more scoring burden will likely fall on Denis Schroder (12.5 ppg) and trade deadline acquisition Malik Beasley (13.4 ppg).
Jared Vanderbilt is also likely to get more time and be relied on for boards. In 5 games with the Lakers, Vanderbilt has averaged 8.6 points per game and 8.8 rebounds.
Memphis will be looking to avenge a 122-121 loss to the Lakers at Crypto.com in January.
The Grizzlies’ sole injury issue is long-haired center Steven Adams, who will miss his 14th straight game after suffering a PCL sprain in mid-January.
The No. 2 team in the Western Conference has gone 5-8 since losing Adams and are averaging roughly 7 less rebounds per game.
Santi Aldama has seen an increase in playing time with Adams out, along with Xavier Tillman.
In the Grizzlies last matchup against the Lakers, Adams had 16 points and 17 rebounds.
The Grizzlies are favored by 8.5 points at home and the over/under is 233.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
