Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson practiced Wednesday with a compression sleeve on his right elbow, causing alarm among NFL fans and fantasy owners.
Upon video review of Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, the Pro Football Docs have no concern about Jackson's availability or effectiveness this week against the Patriots given that he is likely dealing with a contusion.
The two-time All-Pro appeared to suffer the injury when he hit his elbow on the helmet of fullback Patrick Ricard late in the third quarter. He remained in the game and ran for a 79-yard touchdown two plays later.
Despite the fact he did not make all his usual practice throws, the Pro Football Docs do not have any concern for any structural damage to Jackson's right elbow.
The sleeve is likely to control swelling related to the contusion.
Once that swelling or bruising is gone, he should not have any lingering effects.
