Lamar Jackson did not practice Thursday with a non-COVID illness, according to the Baltimore Ravens. He was absent from the portion of practice open to media members and there was speculation that his absence was from a sore left hip he got when he flipped into the end zone on a fourth quarter touchdown run against the Chiefs. Jackson told reporters Wednesday that his hip was sore and that he injured it on the flip. By video, the Ravens' star quarterback landed hard on his left hip and buttock. Undoubtedly it is sore, but we do not believe there is an injury. I firmly believe he will be ready and essentially 100% for the team's Week 3 matchup against the Lions, even if he is absent or limited in Friday's practice. The swelling should be controlled by Sunday and we expect a full go for the former Heisman trophy winner. The 24-year-old did not miss a snap in the win against the Chiefs and finished with 16 rushes for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns. He rushed 12 times for 86 yards in Week 1 against the Raiders.
