ProFootballDoc: Lamar Jackson Unlikely To Play vs. Rams

Good news for Ravens fans and fantasy owners as QB Lamar Jackson was seen back at practice Wednesday. The bad news however due to his movements seen in video, cements that he will not play Week 17.

As we've been saying for a while, the bone bruise will bring a prolonged absence and need rest meaning it is something you cannot play through.

We were confident he would miss Week 16 and felt he would miss Week 17 as well.

Jackson did not practice Thursday on the the injured ankle, further reinforcing that he will not return this week.

In very limited video of his practice Wednesday, Jackson moved more slowly than his quarterbacks coach James Urban. As they jogged or moved up to the next play, the Louisville alum had a pronounced limp.

Based on our original beliefs and new video, we just don't see how Jackson can play for the Ravens in Week 17. The good news is backup QB Tyler Huntley will assuredly come off the COVID reserve list and return as the starter.

The Ravens were 3.5-point home underdogs at FanDuel Sportsbook as of Wednesday night. If it's announced Jackson is officially out for Sunday, look for that line to move towards the Rams a point or two.
