Landon Dickerson, the Eagles’ rookie center, was activated off of non-football injury list today after passing his physical. He tore his ACL in the SEC title game when he played for Alabama last season. Thus far, he has made a great recovery. As he acclimates himself to the NFL game, the fact that he's an interior offensive lineman will help and he can protect the knee by wearing a brace. This doesn't mean he will be ready to go opening day, but it does mean that the Eagles feel like he could help them during the first six weeks of the season. If they didn't feel that way, they could have left him on the NFI list to not have him occupy a roster spot. However, that would mean he would have been ineligible to play until Week 7, and largely would not have practiced with the team. This is a good sign that he is heading in the right direction, but does not mean that he's ready now.
