Solid information is lacking in this new football league as injury reporting rules are yet to be clear. The first player to sign a XFL contract, Landry Jones, was injured in practice as there is no video to analyze. The initial report was a left knee sprain with a four to six week timeline. My suspicion is a left knee MCL sprain on his lead leg and at kickoff it will be slightly over four weeks. He was limited in practice this week and listed as questionable. Physically, I believe he can play with a brace on his lead leg. However his playing time will ultimately be determined on how comfortable he is as he has not practiced in weeks and will be lacking rapport with his new wide receivers. He has been officially ruled out.
