The former Browns star linebacker became expendable after finishing the last two seasons on injured reserve. In 2018, Kirksey suffered a hamstring injury seven games into the season which landed him on injured reserve. After just two games in 2019, his season ended with a torn pectoral tendon which led to surgery. He is 100% fully recovered from both of these injuries and is a low risk for future injury. Indeed the Packers have already signed him and should be an integral part of the 2020 Packers defense.
