Lebron James Questionable To Face Pelicans With Knee Soreness

Lakers superstar Lebron James is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans with the same left knee issue that has plagued him a majority of the season.

The 18-time All-Star missed the Lakers' last game, a 126-121 loss to the 76ers last Wednesday.

Prior to that, the last game James missed was on March 7 on the road against the Spurs.

With a crucial matchup against New Orleans, the ProBasketballDocs expect the 37-year-old to play.

The Lakers (31-42) are ninth place in the Western Conference, a half game ahead of the Pelicans and 1.5 games ahead of the Spurs.

Since sitting five straight games in late January/early February, James has averaged 31.7 points, 9.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 38 minutes per game.

He's shooting 52.6% from the field and 35.7% from three during that 19-game stretch.

Despite Lebron's excellence, the Lakers have gone 6-13 in that span. The Lakers are also 6-13 in games that he hasn't played this season.

On the off chance James doesn't play, Carmelo Anthony ($4,400) and Russell Westbrook ($8,300) would be tasked with providing a majority of the offense for the Lakers.

Malik Monk ($5,100) would also likely see increased production if James were to sit out.

The Lakers are 3.5-point underdogs on the road in New Orleans and the over/under is 232, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
