The Lakers are listing LeBron James as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Rockets as he deals with swelling in his left.
James missed Monday's loss to San Antonio after he experienced what head coach Frank Vogel called significant soreness, but the team is hopeful he will be available when they travel to Houston.
James previously missed 5 games with swelling in the same left knee in late January and early February.
The ProBasketballDocs discussed at the time that the swelling was stemming from an apparent Baker's cyst, which is a fluid-filled sack caused by either arthritis or a torn meniscus.
The cyst will continue to cause swelling and soreness that will have to be managed by James over the final month of the season.
The 37-year-old told reporters on Feb. 15, "the only way it will be back to full strength is rest, and I don't have the luxury of having rest. So, we'll have to wait until the offseason."
And true to his word, he has not had the luxury of any extra rest, aside from the week-long all-star break.
James is coming off of maybe his best performance of the season, scoring 56 points with 10 rebounds on 31 shots in a show-stopping win over the Warriors on Saturday night.
Despite the lingering knee issue, James has continued to to carry the load for the Lakers, scoring 30.6 points on a monumental 37.4 minutes per game in the last 10 games since returning from his absence in early February.
The Lakers, 28-36, are 2-8 in their last 10 games and have dropped to the 9th seed in the West.
