The Cowboys star linebacker missed a game this year with a neck injury and there were pre-draft concerns about his cervical spine. Vander Esch does wear a collar on the field. An MRI was done today for further evaluation following a reported flare-up and he is not expected to play Sunday (now reported as out). Let's hope this is a short-term concern and not related to the big picture cervical spine issues that were discussed during the NFL combine.
