The Cowboys linebacker was injured on a friendly fire downfield tackle. Vander Esch was rolled up on and suffered a high ankle sprain. Luckily, the ankle was not completely trapped which could mean a mild sprain. In any case, high ankle sprains are hard to support with tape and it seems he is questionable at best to return.
