Early in the Thursday night football game, Leon Jacobs’ right knee gave out in a non-contact fashion. Jacobs was engaged with two blockers and it appears that he may have ruptured his patella tendon. He was carted off and will likely be headed for surgery but unfortunately this means his season is likely over. If a tendon rupture is confirmed, this could mean a harder recovery than an ACL tear. It will be a tight timeline, but not impossible for Jacobs to return fully healthy in 2021.
