Leonard Fournette To Miss Rest Of Regular Season With Hamstring Injury

Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette has been ruled out for the rest of tonight's SNF matchup with the Saints after suffering a hamstring injury.

Fournette appeared to injure his right hamstring when he was tackled and spun around, landing awkwardly in a split stance, on a rush attempt with 10:42 left in the 3rd quarter. His right hip flexed and knee buckled, inducing a proximal strain, which can be more long lasting.

Based on initial video, the strain appears severe enough to cost Fournette the rest of the regular season.

His absence comes after both Chris Godwin and Mike Evans were ruled out with leg injuries. Fourth-year back Ronald Jones II will handle the load for the rest of the night, with support from Ke'Shawn Vaughn.

The former No. 4 overall pick was nursing an ankle injury coming into Week 15, although he has yet to miss a game this season, rushing for 778 yards with 8 touchdowns while hauling in 62 receptions and 4 touchdowns heading into tonight.
