New York Giants right defensive end Leonard Williams left the game against the Panthers in the third quarter after suffering an apparent right knee injury.
By video, Williams was rolled up on from behind while on a pass rush and appeared to suffer an MCL sprain, according to the Pro Football Docs.
Williams limped to the locker room and was quickly ruled out.
The hope is the damage is only to the MCL, not his ACL.
Williams will likely undergo an MRI after the game to determine the severity of the MCL sprain.
The Giants, who have been without rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux for the first two weeks, face the Cowboys at home on Monday next week.
