Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training Injury Report

Shohei Ohtani - SIC score 82

Hit a home run in his spring training debut and will slowly ramp up his hitting. He’s on track to play opening day despite Tommy John surgery in mid-September. Ohtani will not pitch or play the outfield this season despite his return to hitting just over five months removed from his surgery.

Max Muncy - SIC score 75

Undergoing X-ray on left hand after HBP during spring training - X-rays unlikely to show a fracture but hand contusion will keep him out of spring training reps for a few days.

Walker Buehler - SIC score 53

Threw live BP on Feb. 27 for the first time since his second Tommy John procedure. No set date for return in 2024, according to manager Dave Roberts. Walker last pitched in a game on June 10, 2022 and underwent Tommy John surgery on Aug. 23, 2022.

Enrique Hernandez - SIC score 70

The Dodgers signee underwent double hernia surgery in the offseason but has a chance to be on the active roster by the South Korea series starting March 20. He figures to provide depth in the outfield although he can also play middle infield.

Dustin May - SIC score 10

Likely to miss most of the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on July 18, 2023.

Tony Gonsolin - SIC score 5

Out for the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on Aug. 1, 2023.
