The top three Los Angeles Rams running backs are now injured heading into the new season. Darrell Henderson left practice early with a thumb injury that has been reported as a mild sprain. The Rams have already lost their number one running back Cam Akers for the season with an Achilles injury and their number three running back Raymond Calais who suffered a mid-foot fracture. Although the sprain is mild, he will still have issues with ball security, blocking and receiving, which has never been his strong suit to begin with. This is something to monitor as we inch closer to the start of the season. It seems likely he would be able to return to play, but whether ball security and past catching become an issue is the worry at this point. Certainly the Rams will need to add another running back to their roster before the regular season begins.
