Reds ace Luis Castillo is scheduled for his second rehab start in AAA on Friday as he works his way back from shoulder tightness.
He made his first rehab start on Sunday, throwing 48 pitches over 2.1 innings. Castillo is scheduled to throw 4 innings on Friday with the target for 60-65 pitches.
The 29-year-old has not pitched yet this season after he was placed on the 10-day IL on April 6, two days before the season opener.
In his five-year career, Castillo had never missed a start or spent any time on the IL before this season.
The Reds (3-15) are off to a rocky start to the year, ranking dead last in ERA at 5.76.
