The Mavericks ruled out star Luka Doncic and floor-spacing big Davis Bertans for their game against the Rockets on Wednesday.
Doncic will sit with right ankle soreness. He missed 14 games earlier this season with 2 separate right ankle sprains, but has played in 35 of Dallas' 37 games since returning.
The Mavericks are 7-9 without Doncic this season, but have won 3 of their last 4 without the superstar.
Bertans will miss the game with right knee soreness, an ailment that also kept him out of Monday's win over the Timberwolves.
Spencer Dinwiddie and Jalen Brunson will take the scoring load without the European duo. Dinwiddie is averaging 19.6 points and 4.3 assists on .494/.397/.794 splits in his last 12 games.
Dorian Finney-Smith also saw a bump in the last stretch without Doncic, averaging 13.8 points and 5.4 rebonds on 40% shooting from behind the arc.
Dallas is 9-4 since the all-star break, while Houston is coming off of a 115-97 win over the Wizards.
