The Vikings will continue to be short on cornerbacks as Mike Hughes was placed on injured reserve for a neck issue last week. Alexander missed last week's playoff game with a knee issue and is now having a scope. No matter how small the scope surgery, it will be difficult for Alexander to return even if the Vikings make it to the next round. Of course, if Minnesota makes it to the Superbowl the chance for return would become realistic. The delay in the scope surgery might have cost Alexander a chance to play in the conference championship.
