Marcus Smart left Sunday's contest late in the first half after suffering a right shoulder injury.
Smart ran off the floor clearly favoring his right shoulder but the Celtics reported he was expected to return with a stinger and a right quad contusion.
The DPOY appeared to suffer the stinger with 1:12 left in the first half when Bucks' guard Jevon Carter grabbed Smart's right arm while he was driving to the basket, stretching it back and to the side while Smart's momentum carried him into the paint.
Milwaukee leads the game, 56-46, after an 11-3 run to end the second quarter.
Smart has 7 points, 4 assists, and 1 steal in the first half.

Update
Smart returned at the start of the second half and finished the game, playing a total of 32 minutes. The shoulder didn't seem to bother him as much as the right quad contusion he suffered on the same drive.
He finished with 10 points, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 rebound. Smart scored just 3 points in the second half on 1-5 shooting and 0-2 from 3.
