The Colts running back broke his hand on Sunday and the injury required surgery. With the metacarpal fracture and a short week, he will miss Thursday's game versus the Texans. He could return for the week 13 game which is just in time for the fantasy playoffs. However he will be less than 100% if he does. Potential ball security issues arise as he would need to always carry the ball in his left hand. There is potential pass protection and pass-catching issues as well although he is not often used in the passing game. There is precedent for other running backs returning in this fashion. DeMarco Murray returned the following week for the Cowboys several years back.
