Saints wide receiver Marquez Callaway injured his right ankle on the first play of the second half against the Giants. By video, Callaway caught a deep throw from Jameis Winston and suffered an inversion ankle sprain when he was tackled for behind. He was tended to by trainers on the field, then walked off under his own power. We don't think the injury is serious and he has a good chance to return with his ankle taped. If Callaway can't continue, the Saints would be down all three starting wide receivers, with Michael Thomas and Tre-Quan Smith on IR.
Update
Callaway returned to the game with his right ankle taped.
