Cardinals star wideout Marquise Brown will miss roughly six weeks after reportedly suffering a small, non-surgical fracture in his left foot.
Based on reports and video of the injury, Brown likely suffered an evulsion fracture, where a sprained ligament pulls off a piece of the bone, according to the Pro Football Docs.
By video on Sunday, the Pro Football Docs projected he would be lucky to avoid IR with the foot injury. Brown will assuredly be placed on IR and miss a minimum of four games.
Look for Brown to return in either Week 12 against the Chargers or after Arizona’s Week 13 bye.
The 25-year-old had a previous Lisfranc injury in his left foot coming out of college, but that previous injury should not complicate his recovery.
The Cardinals activated DeAndre Hopkins from PED suspension on Monday and he will return this Thursday against the Saints.
New addition Robbie Anderson will likely slot in as an immediate deep threat, with Rondale Moore also in the mix for targets.
Brown has 485 yards on 43 catches and 3 touchdowns on the season, leading the team in all three categories.
The Cardinals are favored by 1.5 points at home and the over/under is 44.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
