By video, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback has a mild right high ankle sprain and nothing more besides the sprain has been reported by the team. He practiced today, but his official status is questionable. Head coach Dan Quinn said they will decide on Saturday what to do with Ryan. I have seen video of him throwing a ball well and pushing off his back right foot/ankle, however there is more to the game than playing in the pocket. Atlanta would like to have Ryan this week, but I think the likelihood is that they rest him this week to take advantage of next week's bye and have a fully healthy Ryan in week 10.
